About the Salsify integration

Salsify is a product experience management platform used by consumer brands to manage and syndicate content to retailers. The Unify Catalog API reads its products, properties, digital assets and channels.

Salsify's API uses API tokens per user and organisation, with product, property, digital asset and channel endpoints and export runs for bulk reads. The Unify Catalog API maps products, properties, digital assets and channel listings to the Unify Graph.

Why build Salsify on Unify Int

  • One data model

Salsify records arrive in the same Unify Graph shape as every other platform in the category, with the original record kept in raw.

  • Unify Connect

A white-label flow for your customers to authorize Salsify. Tokens are stored and refreshed for you.

  • Custom fields and passthrough

Map Salsify custom fields per connection, and call any endpoint the model does not cover through passthrough requests.

  • Unify Monitor

Request logs, sync health and alerts for every Salsify connection, so support can see what happened.

Salsify integration questions

Does Unify Int support Salsify products and properties?
Salsify is on the Unify Int roadmap. The planned scope covers reading products, properties, categories, assets and channels, with write-back for products, categories and assets to follow. Request it to move it up, or ask the Technology Center about a custom build.
How do customers connect their Salsify account?
Your customer generates an API token for an integration user in Salsify and enters it with the organisation ID in Unify Connect.
Is there a Salsify sandbox for testing?
Salsify does not publish a public sandbox; customers usually test against a non-production organisation.
How often does Salsify data sync?
Salsify does not emit webhooks for most objects, so Unify Sync polls incrementally on the schedule you set per object, typically every 15 minutes to daily, and sends you signed webhooks when records change.
Can I access Salsify custom fields?
Salsify properties are customer-defined; Unify Int exposes them with their data types alongside normalized core fields.
