About the Sage 50 integration

Sage 50 is Sage's desktop accounting software for small businesses in the UK, Ireland and North America. A desktop agent connects company data to the Unify Accounting API.

Sage 50 runs on the customer's own machine or network, and its local SDKs differ by edition (Sage 50 Accounts in the UK, Sage 50 in the US and Canada). Unify Int delivers it as a Technology Center build with an agent that reads accounts, customers, suppliers, invoices and payments on a schedule.

Why build Sage 50 on Unify Int

  • One data model

Sage 50 records arrive in the same Unify Graph shape as every other platform in the category, with the original record kept in raw.

  • Unify Connect

A white-label flow for your customers to authorize Sage 50. Tokens are stored and refreshed for you.

  • Custom fields and passthrough

Map Sage 50 custom fields per connection, and call any endpoint the model does not cover through passthrough requests.

  • Unify Monitor

Request logs, sync health and alerts for every Sage 50 connection, so support can see what happened.

Sage 50 integration questions

Does Unify Int support Sage 50 invoices and bills?
Sage 50 is available as a Technology Center build: we scope, build and maintain the connector for you on the Unify Accounting API. The planned scope covers accounts, customers, vendors, invoices, bills, payments, journal entries, items, tax rates and attachments. Talk to the Technology Center to start.
How do customers connect their Sage 50 account?
An agent is installed on a machine with access to the Sage 50 data and authorised with a Sage 50 user. It connects outbound to Unify Int only.
Is there a Sage 50 sandbox for testing?
There is no hosted sandbox. Testing uses Sage 50 sample company data on a test machine, set up by the Technology Center.
How often does Sage 50 data sync?
Sage 50 does not emit webhooks for most objects, so Unify Sync polls incrementally on the schedule you set per object, typically every 15 minutes to daily, and sends you signed webhooks when records change.
Can I access Sage 50 custom fields?
Sage 50 analysis fields can be read through the agent and mapped during the Technology Center build.
