About the Microsoft Advertising integration

Microsoft Advertising runs search, shopping and audience ads across Bing, Microsoft properties and partner sites. The Unify Ads API reads its accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads and daily performance reports.

The Bing Ads API uses Microsoft identity OAuth 2.0 plus a developer token, with a reporting service for metrics. The Unify Ads API maps accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads, conversions and daily metrics to the Unify Graph.

Why build Microsoft Advertising on Unify Int

  • One data model

Microsoft Advertising records arrive in the same Unify Graph shape as every other platform in the category, with the original record kept in raw.

  • Unify Connect

A white-label flow for your customers to authorize Microsoft Advertising. Tokens are stored and refreshed for you.

  • Custom fields and passthrough

Map Microsoft Advertising custom fields per connection, and call any endpoint the model does not cover through passthrough requests.

  • Unify Monitor

Request logs, sync health and alerts for every Microsoft Advertising connection, so support can see what happened.

Microsoft Advertising integration questions

Does Unify Int support Microsoft Advertising campaigns and ads?
Microsoft Advertising is on the Unify Int roadmap. The planned scope covers reading ad accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads, insights and conversions, with write-back for campaigns to follow. Request it to move it up, or ask the Technology Center about a custom build.
How do customers connect their Microsoft Advertising account?
Your customer signs in with their Microsoft account in Unify Connect and grants access to their advertising accounts.
Is there a Microsoft Advertising sandbox for testing?
Yes. Microsoft Advertising provides a sandbox environment with test accounts.
How often does Microsoft Advertising data sync?
Microsoft Advertising does not emit webhooks for most objects, so Unify Sync polls incrementally on the schedule you set per object, typically every 15 minutes to daily, and sends you signed webhooks when records change.
Can I access Microsoft Advertising custom fields?
Labels and custom conversion goals are kept on records; other report columns are available through passthrough.
